The course contains of 3 modules:<\/p>\n

1) Introduction to Sustainability (what does Sustainability means? Why is it important)<\/p>\n

2) How can teaching build on Sustainability?<\/p>\n

3) How can Sustainability be taught in class?<\/p>\n

The learning objectives for this course are: <\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Learn about the Sustainability Goals<\/li>\n
  • Gain inspiration and learn about possibilities how to bring sustainability into class<\/li>\n
  • Learn about ways in which fellow teachers can work with teaching styles fostering a sustainable mindset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    When you have gone through this course you will be able to: <\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Explain the sustainable mindset and why it is important to bring this mindset into class<\/li>\n
    • Develop ways in which Sustainability can be implemented in your area of teaching<\/li>\n
    • Provide knowledge to fellow teachers and inspire them to work with new teaching styles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \u201cThe Sustainable Development Goals comprise a global agenda to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure all people enjoy peace and prosperity.<\/p>\n

      Adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals\u2014or SDGs or Global Goals as they are sometimes called\u2014have 169 targets that countries are attempting to reach by 2030 at the latest. This is why the Goals are also referred to as the 2030 Agenda, which countries resolved to undertake with \u201cbold and transformative steps which are urgently needed to shift the world onto a sustainable and resilient path. As we embark on this collective journey, we pledge that no one will be left behind.\u201d<\/p>\n

      The goals and targets are universal, meaning they apply to all countries around the world, not just developing countries. Reaching the goals requires action on all fronts\u2014governments, businesses, civil society, and people everywhere have a role to play.\u201d<\/p>\n
